Hex Bots is now ready to be launched on Steam, with complete revamp of the game. The entire map has been reworked, there are more objectives, the bot's AI has been improved, and the game has a completely new feel. The itch version has all the updates, but you can't utilize the Steam API, meaning you miss out on Steam achievements and easy hosting, but you get all the other goodies.

List of changes

• Reworked map, made completely from scratch. We focused on custom made buildings and props to make the game have a more complete look.
• Additional main objectives. In the old version you only had to complete the PC circuits to be able to escape. For the updated version, you are also required to activate servers randomly spawned across the map. 
• Side objectives. Useful powerups can be activated to give a strong advantage for the rest of the match. There are also various objects that can be moved to change the layout of the map for easier access.
• Reviving. You can now revive dead players if you're playing CO-OP. When a player dies, their soul and a soul shard will spawn off their body, and you have to pick them up and insert them into the revive machine.
• Item crafting and item storage. You can now combine wire components to make a new, more useful one. There is also a cache where you can store components for later use, or to trade with other players.
• Leveling. Gain experience by winning matches. Levels unlock nameplate customizations.
• Steam integration.
  • An online mode where you can easily host and connect to friends using the Steam overlay.
  • Steam achievements. 26 achievements for anyone interested in hunting for them.
• A crazy amount of polishing. The UI, the level, and gameplay have all gotten a nice new coat of paint. The network code was awful in the old version, but with thorough testing, most of the issues should now be long gone.
